Hive Tyrants are the commanders of the Tyranid Swarm and the enactors of the Hive Mind's will. All Hive Tyrants are massively powerful creatures, hulking monsters three times the height of a man. Though individuals will often appear different, every part of their body is created to maim and kill. Even their armour plates have razor-sharp edges with which to slice apart would-be attackers. Each Hive Tyrant is highly psychic and it is the conduit through which the Hive Mind communicates with its swarm. As a result, Hive Tyrants will often evolve to cast psychic powers too, which they use to shatter the minds of nearby foes.
The Swarmlord is as old as the Tyranid race itself, the very pinnacle of the Hive Tyrant bioform. It is a monster of darkest nightmare that has preyed on empires and overseen the extinction of entire civilisations. It is a legendary destroyer of worlds and its names are legion.

This multi-part plastic boxed set contains 59 components with which to build one Tyranid Hive Tyrant or one Swarmlord. This kit comes with a massive selection of weaponry, including a stranglethorn cannon, a heavy venom cannon, a huge set of wings, and four boneswords should you wish to build your Hive Tyrant as the Swarmlord - the nastiest of all Tyranid Hive Commanders. It also comes with one 60mm base. This kit is supplied unpainted and requires assembly - we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Paints.
